When filling the ball with sand how full do you fill it? How heavy will the ball be? Will it bounce or "die" when it hits the ground?
What would you suggest to make balls of different weights that will react to the ground in a similar way?

unfortunately, i wasn't bright enough to think of gluing the opening shut, so even with four layers of duct tape on my slam ball, it still gives off an occasional puff of dust. otherwise, it works great. mine turned out to be 23lbs on the nose. totally dead, no bounce. and man, if you use it for wall balls, it's a real challenge--that thing comes down like a cannon shell!

we are doing wood choppers now. take the ball, hold it in 2 hands...sqt down and touch the floor. now jump high in the air raising the bar overhead in completely extended arms.....land decelerating the land and continue squatting. try doing 100 for time!!!!!

I have made 3. One is 24.2 lbs the next is 24.8 lbs and the last one is a little heavier, I put a load of shot gun bb's in as well.

So far the bb's are working well. I only used one container from Wal-Mart that said it had 6000 bb's. The rest of the ball was filled with sand. I want to try completely fill one to see how heavy it can go. Are you guys useing basketballs that are leather, fake leather or rubber outside? We used old game balls thart are leather.
